Why Ancestral & Seasonal Work Matters
There is a knowing in our bones and a rhythm in our breath. We are not separate from the natural world.. We are nature; born of it, sustained by it, and shaped by its cycles. The seasons, the solstices, the turning of the Wheel of the Year are not abstractions or pretty metaphors, they are the living pulse of life on this planet. When we lose touch with these rhythms, we lose touch with a part of ourselves. We begin to feel fractured, tired, and longing for something unnamed, unable to anchor meaningfully in the world or in our own body.
Ancestral and seasonal work is an invitation home, not to an idea of the past, but to the living intelligence of our bodies, our ancestors, and the world that sustains us. Our ancestors did not live outside of nature. They lived within it, guided by its cycles, taught by its seasons, and nourished by its rhythms. Their lives, grief, love, wounds, and gifts flow through you in ways both seen and unseen. They shape the way you grieve, the way you love, the ways you show up in relationships, and the patterns that guide your inner life.
These ancestral imprints are not fantasies, they are real. They live in the ways your nervous system responds to stress, the ways your heart opens or retreats, the inherited temperaments woven into your being, and the body memories that surface at threshold moments. Some of these are ancestral wounds, patterns that repeat even when they no longer serve you. Some are ancestral gifts, resiliencies, affinities, embodied knowing, and strengths that have carried your lineage through time. Ancestral work invites you to become aware of these dynamics, not as burdens to escape, but as currents to understand, honor, and, when needed, transform.
Ancestral and seasonal work invite you into relationship, to your own body, to the natural world, to the ancestors whose lives pulse in your cells, and to the rhythms of the seasons that reflect your own inner tides. This is not a technique or a quick fix, it is a tending, a way of returning to yourself, your lived experience, and the world you belong to. Here you remember how your body knows what your mind has forgotten. Here you come home to a way of being that feels generative, rooted, and deeply connected.
The seasons are not just changes in weather. They are thresholds of time that invite us to pause, to release what no longer serves, to deepen into what is emerging, to rest, to gather, and to be called forward again. Each turning of the Wheel of the Year is an invitation to remember that you are part of a larger pattern, a pattern of growth and decline, contraction and expansion, loss and renewal, that mirrors the rhythms within you.
In the sections that follow, you will find the frameworks I work with, the offerings that support this journey, and ways to stay connected as the work unfolds in its own time and rhythm.
How I Hold This Work
This work is not something I study from the outside. It is the lens through which I live my life and tend to my own healing, and it is the way I show up for others in their process. My path into ancestral and seasonal work came through lived experience through discovering how my own lineage shaped patterns of grief and resilience, through countless hours in nature tracking the turns of the seasons, and through the deep practice of returning again and again to my own body as a source of knowing. The way I hold this work with others is shaped by the way it has shaped me, with curiosity, tenderness, and an irreversible attentiveness to what wants to be seen and tended.
When we engage lineage together, I am listening for how patterns show up in your body and in your relationships. I pay attention to the ways your nervous system remembers before your mind does, how inherited rhythms surface in your emotional life and habits of response, and how the echoes of your ancestors shape the ways you grieve, love, protect, or open. These are not distant stories, but felt realities that show up as shifts in sensation, breath, posture, tension, and ease that speak of deeper currents beneath the surface.
Sovereignty in this context is not a concept but a lived orientation. It shows up when you begin to notice the difference between an inherited impulse and your own inner voice, when you find clarity in your body before the mind can name it, and when your boundaries begin to feel somatic rather than abstract. My role is to support you in recognizing these moments, in feeling into them with care, and in meeting them with grounded presence.
Seasonal intelligence begins with noticing how the energies of the year show up in your lived experience in your body, your emotions, your thoughts, and your behaviors, and learning to recognize the influence of those energies as thresholds and transitions move through your life. I teach people how these seasonal qualities present themselves, how to name their influence, and how to discern the rhythms that are alive for them. From there, I invite embodied practices that support grounding, balance, and movement through transitional times. These practices may include somatic movement, breath work, reflective attunement, and connection with nature's cycles, all offered in ways that help you move with steadiness and awareness.
Holding this work means attending to these patterns with presence and care. It means creating a container where your experience is witnessed, where your body's language is respected, and where the intelligence of lineage and season can be listened to without rushing or bypassing what is alive in the moment. It is not about fixing anything, but about learning how to be with what arises in ways that are steady, somatic, and real.
Wheel of the Year & Seasonal Medicine Offerings
Seasonal Medicine Workshops
(Online)
I offer seasonal medicine workshops through the Psychedelic Passage member community. These online gatherings happen approximately every six weeks throughout the year and explore the interplay between our inner phases and the shifting energies of the seasons. Each session focuses on preparatory practices, integration support, and embodied reflection on the themes that arise as we cross thresholds together.
As a member of the Psychedelic Passage practitioner network, I facilitate these workshops and also receive referrals through the network. If you are a Psychedelic Passage member, you can register for upcoming workshops through the member portal. If you’re not yet a member and would like to learn more, you can explore membership at Psychedelic Passage.
Wheel of the Year Threshold Gatherings
(in person at Yoga Studio Satya, Colorado Springs, CO)
Wheel of the Year Threshold Gatherings are offered in person at Yoga Studio Satya in Colorado Springs, Colorado. These live events are intentionally held with limited space and are rooted in relational presence, ritual, ancient Celtic tradition, contemplative practices, and divination. Together, we honor seasonal transitions, gather the tribe, and cross thresholds in ways that are somatic, reflective, and deeply connective.
Details, dates, and registration information for these gatherings are available via Yoga Studio Satya Events & Workshops..
One-on-One Ancestral or Seasonal Work
In addition to workshops and gatherings, I offer one-on-one support for people who want deeper guidance with ancestral inquiry, seasonal rhythms, and how those patterns show up in lived experience. This work is relational and embodied, and it can be offered outside of the medicine work container if that is what you are seeking. Together we can explore how lineage and seasonal energetics are showing up in your body, your relationships, your inner world, and your sense of orientation in life. If you feel drawn to this work and want to explore it more deeply, you can visit my booking contact page to schedule a consultation or send an email to learn more.
